It’s no secret that a big goal in our industry is increasing female participation in the construction industry. The National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) is one of the biggest advocates in this space, establishing multiple policies and goals, with the overarching goal of ‘An equitable construction industry where women fully participate.’
NAWIC is just one example though. The Victorian Government has committed to achieving gender equality in the workplace and developed a Women in Construction Strategy to help accomplish this.
Two of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are gender equality and women’s empowerment and as construction remains male-dominated, it’s a big piece of the puzzle achieving these goals.

We’re female-led and have an 80% female workforce. We take on the responsibility of leading the charge by improving and promoting the experiences of women at Struber.
